I have PLE, does this mean my children are at risk from it? How can I prevent/minimise this risk?

There is an inherited component to the pre-disposition to develop PLE. One fifth of patients have another family member affected. The chance is relatively low, but it is possible that your children could develop PLE. There is no way of knowing if they will or not and there is not currently anything you can do to minimise the chance of passing this condition on to offspring.
